FAQ Parking Owner's

No, our team will review your space and either approve it (setting it live on our site) or flag it for further information required. We will get in touch directly if we need further details or have noticed a particular problem (e.g., excessive price).

Here are some tips to rent out faster:

  1. Include details about the space itself, like the location and distance to points of interest. Also, the size of the space and the size of vehicle that the space could accommodate.
  2. Post Photos! Photographs are the biggest converting factor next to price. For listings with more than 2 images we see 6x as much interest and 4x as many bookings!

Our drivers are interested in all types of spaces! Whether you've got a driveway, a space in a car park or a lock up garage, as long as it's yours to rent we'll help find its perfect match.

There is a tax-free allowance of £1,000 for earnings made on the sharing economy, anything after this will need to be declared.

We would advise consulting an accountant for further details and explanation on this.

It's completely FREE to list your parking space. You set the amount you'd like to receive, and we add a service fee on top of this which is paid by the driver. This service fee works out at 20% of the price paid by the driver and VAT on the service fees.

You will be receiving your parking space rent minus bank transaction fees per each booking. Refer to The Parking Owner Agreement for more details. We do not charge any hidden fees!

Absolutely Yes! Just keep your availability up to date to avoid any problems.

You can use our advanced availability calendar to mark specific days as unavailable. As an instant booking platform, bookings are confirmed immediately on your behalf. You don't have the option to accept or reject a booking.

Cancelling a booking once it's confirmed can trigger negative ratings and cause inconvenience to drivers.

We understand that life's busy, mistakes can happen and things can be missed, so we operate a flexible policy when it comes to cancelling bookings once confirmed, we have got your back!

As part of the sharing economy, there is a tax-free amount of earnings up to £1,000.

No, you have complete control over when your space is available to rent. Chances are, there will be someone out there who needs to park at the exact same spot that you don't!

Here are some of our most common listings, but you can pick and choose as you wish.

No, owners are not required to take a deposit.

For all short- and long-term rentals, we take a deposit from the driver on behalf on the parking owner which we hold for the duration of the booking.

Check “When will I get paid?” for more payment related details.

We will forward payments received from the Driver to the owners on the first business working day of Pay-N-Park of the following month, provided that the payments from the Driver and the Booking have been completed before the 24th day of the month. For example: If the driver has booked your parking space on the 14th of Jan and has completed the booking on the 23rd of Jan, you will be paid on the 1st of February (i.e., the first working day of the next month).

Where the payment and/or booking is completed after the 24th of the month, the collected payment will be made to the parking owner in the month after. For Example: If a driver books your space on 11th Jan, but completes the booking on the 26th Jan, you will be paid on the 1st of March (i.e., the first working day of the succeeding month).

Pay-N-Park operates an arrears payment system to comply with the chargeback requirements of our bankers in the event of any disputes. Payments will be consolidated into a single payment with a detailed invoice and with transaction fees details provided. Applicable transaction fees will be deducted from the accumulated amount and the remaining amount will be transferred to the parking owner’s bank account.

Please search on our APP to see what other people in your area are renting their space out for. This will provide you with a rough idea, however we always recommend taking a bit off to be competitive. After all, you are the new parking owner on the block! We are happy to advise you if you are unsure. Ultimately, you set the amount you'd like to receive, and we add a service fee and applicable VAT charges on top of this which is paid by the driver. The service fee works out at 20% of the price paid by the driver.

Pro tip: We recommend pricing low until your space starts to get some traction, build a good reputation and earn some great reviews to encourage further bookings, after which you can change your price point anytime through your account!

If you'd like some expert advice on how much to price your space for, contact us at info@paynpark.co.uk with your Full Name, Phone Number, Email Address and Postcode of your parking space and one of our pricing experts will get back to you with a quote as soon as possible.

You can change your pricing at any time by editing your listing from your account.

Reminder: You enter the price you would like to receive and we automatically calculate and add a further 20% for service fees, plus applicable VAT for the service fee which is paid by the driver.
